With a strong academic foundation in Nutrition, she completed both B.HSc. and M.HSc. from Isabella Thoburn College, Lucknow. She further enhanced her expertise by certifying a Diabetes Educator course. She worked for 3½ years as a Junior Dietician at Charak Hospital and Research Centre, Dubagga Lucknow. She has an experience of 6 years in the field.

She is a member of India Association of Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (IAPEN), Poshan Dhara Association (PDA), International Society of Hypertension (ISH), and South Asian Association of Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (SAPEN).
